This past week I’ve learned about the Routing Information Protocol, branding, and competed at , the Prosper UIL invitational for Computer Science. The Routing Information Protocol, also known , as RIP, is a distance vector based networking protocol. The Routing Information Protocol is a , dynamic routing protocol that can be configured on routers to allow connectivity between , remote networks and host devices. An important defining characteristic of the Routing , Information Protocol is its focus on hop count and administrative distance. The core algorithm , of the Routing Information Protocol allows for speedy data transfer by using the data from the , metrics. The Routing Information Protocol is used to find the fastest path to deliver data to an , endpoint. I also learned about a few important aspects of branding. The goal of branding is to , differentiate your company or product from its competition. Understanding your audience, , building your brand values, tailoring your content and visuals around your audience and values, , and keeping everything consistent are the key steps to having a successful brand. Also this week , I was given the opportunity to compete at the University Interscholastic League Invitational , competition at Prosper High School, I competed in the computer science competition, both in , the the written section as well as the team hands-on coding section. Overall, it was a great , experience to not only get better at solving problems through code but to also meet fellow , students who have a passion for the science.
